Jack Miller Scholarship Fund

posted Jul 26, 2017, 4:37 PM by John Hill
As most of you are aware, Jack Miller has been fighting Leukemia this summer.  In recognition of Jack's ongoing fight and his love for the game of hockey, The IU division of Collegiate Charities, Drop the Puck on Cancer, has set up a scholarship fund to recognize Blades players who exhibit the sportsmanship and work ethic that Jack displays on the ice which makes him such a great teammate.  This donation of $5000 will be used to fund scholarships to offset player fees as well as to establish a pool of funds to provide fee reductions for families that volunteer at Drop the Puck events in Bloomington this coming season.

Representatives from Collegiate Charities will be at the pool party on August 12 to answer questions about the organization.  Application and nomination forms for scholarships will be available at the pool party, along with a list of event needing volunteers.  We hope that this partnership will continue to make Blades hockey financially accessible to Bloomington families and that we can reward players who demonstrate a great attitude on and off of the ice.
